Really interesting and unique story you're telling here! I really enjoyed it! And you also really scared me when dubstep came out of nowhere and you surprised me at the song somehow became edm. Lol, really nice song, good job!

Miyolophone responds:

Haha, I'm happy you liked it! You know it's not real music unless you SCARE SOMEONE

I decently liked it, but it got really boring when you repeated the same chord progression from the start of the song until 1:35. At first, the the chord progression was really nice and that high "squeaky" synth was good, but it got really boring at around the 1 minute mark, and i also didnt like that you used that same "squeaky" synth for almost the whole song. You really impressed me with the interesting chord progression at the drop, but that same chord progression went on all the way to almost the end of the song, which made it eventually boring. I feel that this song could use some bass to fill in the low-end too. But overall, I think your song was good but could be improved in many ways.

DipperMcFlipper responds:

Thanks! I made this a long time ago so thats why it needs alot of improvement.

Really nice! If you want a tip for mixing, make sure you get rid of unwanted frequencies in a sound using EQ so it doesn't interfere or "fight" with your other sounds. If done right, your sounds/samples will sound more clear and cleaner because there are not as many different sounds playing at the same frequency. (I hope this makes sense to you?) For example, if some of the lead frequencies are interfering with the bass, it will make the bass sound less clear because it's "fighting" with your bass frequencies to "sound out" and the same thing with the bass frequencies fighting with the lead frequencies. If you eliminate the unnecessary frequencies with EQ (because your lead doesn't need low freq and most of the time your bass doesn't need high freq) it will sound cleaner. Sorry if my explanation is not that clear to you, I think you should be able to find a better explanation somewhere else. But I really liked this song, keep up the good work! :)

Chliz responds:

I understand, for now on I'll focus on cutting equalizing correctly. Thanks for the review!

I have nothing to say, your voice just keeps getting better, and the composition was great! Keep up the good work!

Really chill, sounds awesome! You really killed it, Killer-FX!

I like it, but its really repetitive from 0:39-1:57, which makes it kind of lose its hype and makes it boring. If you cant think of another melody to change to, maybe you can change the lead synth? But other than that nice work :)

This song is awesome like always, but it was kind of uneventful and a bunch of repeating at the beginning of the song.

Good job! I really enjoyed it! It was a good chill song, and I dont mind a random white noise coming out of nowhere because its not your fault. If you really want to make music, it could be worth it buy it, its up to you. If you are REALLY crazy, I use a software called Ableton, and they provide a discount for students if you are one. Keep up the good work!

JollyGD responds:

Thanks! I don't actually have money so I'll probably stay in this music producer called "MuLab". I'll try to gain money soon if I have time and buy Ableton. Anyways, thank you so much!

Wow! That was awesome! I also didnt expect the change into a somewhat jazzy theme! Just one thing, maybe change up the melody a bit a some places so the same melody doesnt play for like 30 seconds, so it doesnt get boring. Otherwise good job! :)

i like it, but i think theres a little too much reverb at some places, especially on the piano at the beginning, so it sounds muddy somethimes. good job

16 y/o music producer that makes music as a hobby, hoping to be a professional, "real" one, in the future.
